Makeya Jenkins, DDS

I have a sincere desire to build personal relationships with my patients to ensure that they always feel comfortable in my office. I hope that at the conclusion of their appointment, they leave knowing that my team and I truly have their best interests at heart.

My Mission:

To compassionately serve my community by promoting education, preventative care, and treatment methods that will enhance, not only oral health, but overall health.

Education

Dr. Jenkins received a track & field scholarship to Tennessee State University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. After completing her undergraduate program she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College. Throughout her matriculation at Meharry, she received several scholarship awards including, the MMC Drum Major Award, the Ronald A. White Endowed Scholarship, and the Class of 2002 Endowed Scholar Award.

Continuing Education & Professional Memberships

Dr. Jenkins enhanced the foundations of her dental skills by completing a General Practice Residency Program. To stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies in the dental industry, Dr. Jenkins continuously seeks advanced training opportunities. Dr. Jenkins holds memberhips in both the Academy of General Dentists and American Dental Association, which are committed to professional advancement through advocacy, education, and research.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Jenkins aspires to live on a planet where worry is a thing of the past. Developing a cure for stress is at the very top of her bucket list. She spends most of her free time as a kitchen chemist, working on the cure all for her own family. Dr. Jenkins spends most of her free time creating new memories and experiences with her husband and four children. When she is not spending time with her family she enjoys coaching the ROK Running summer track club, exercising, going to the movies, and traveling.

Kyle Coghlan, DDS

My Mission

For my patients to leave the office feeling we have done our best to treat their wants and needs, to increase their knowledge about their oral health, to focus on prevention of future disease, and to feel comfortable at every step of the way.

Education

Dr. Coghlan attended the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. After completing his undergraduate program, he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. During his time at UT College of Dentistry, Dr. Coghlan served as the President of the American Student Dental Association and received multiple leadership awards for his service to fellow students and the Tennessee community.

Continuing Education & Professional Memberships

Dr. Coghlan is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentists and the American Dental Association, which are committed to professional advancement through advocacy, education, and research. He is constantly driven to learn more about the dental profession through continuing education courses, specifically on new technological advancements in the field.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Coghlan spends most of his free time with his beautiful fiancé and their dog, Jude. He enjoys traveling, especially if it involves camping and hiking. When not outdoors, he is perfectly content with being absorbed in a good book.
